Itou Misaki

The first time I saw Itou Misaki (伊東 美咲) was in the Jdrama Tiger & Dragon. She is a fairly prominent actress in Japan, and is really really tall for a Japanese female, reaching 172cm (5′ 7″). She also starred in Ju-on, the Japanese version of “The Grudge.”
Amongst other things of hers I’ve been meaning to watch, Yama Onna Kabe Onna (山女壁女), or “Mountain Woman, Wall woman” (this is in reference to breast size incase you are wondering if she stars in a jdrama about women who live in the mountains and paint on walls or something), is one of them.
In this drama, Itou plays a department store sales women who has a complex about her flat chest. It is definitely a comedy for the whole family (please don’t quote me on that). This drama was actually from last summer’s season, and I still haven’t gotten around to watching it! I am really slow with the jdrama watching these days! When I do get around to watching it, I’ll let everyone know how it is on here.

She was in a show recently (don’t remember the name, but the theme song was ‘Ai wo komete hanataba wo’ by Superfly) where she was an elementary school teacher who had this annoying kid-genius in her class that kept driving her crazy. It was pretty entertaining and it seems as if her acting range has definitely broadened.
If you can find it, I recommend the new drama “Monster Parent” with Ryoko Yonekura.

I watched Yama Onna Kabe Onna…it was pretty funny actually, but definitely don’t watch it when mom and dad are around =p
How was Tiger & Dragon? I have it downloaded, but haven’t got the chance to watch it yet.

I love Itou Misaki! She’s seriously like one of the prettiest actresses i’ve ever seen. She was also in the Jdrama “Sapuri” with Kamenashi Kazuya<3 In the drama she’s a workaholic for a commercial company and because she spends so much time at work her love is doubted by her boyfriend. She then meets Yuya a new part timer who is really carefree and doesnt take work seriously. Its a cool drama! You should watch it ^_^

Sano: Tiger & Dragon is a really good one =) definitely check it out.
Billy: I think I know which one you are talking about, but the name has also slipped my mind. I’ll look around for that drama you suggested. Thanks.
Chun: Yo! How’s it going man? Long time no see haha. Tiger and Dragon is hilarious and has a quality cast, so I definitely suggest you get on it when you have some time.
Yuri: Ah, I did not know Itou and Kamenashi did a drama together. I’ll look on d-addicts for it, thanks!

billy and cruxay, the drama you’re talking about it’s “Edison No Haha” or Edison’s Mother.
i started watching sapuri, and tiger & dragon, but i first wanted to finish kiken na aneki, it’s sooo funny! kabe onna yama onna was so funny as well! i hope to see a season two soon, when you watch it, you’ll know what im talking about.
i first saw her in densha otoko, her character was so calm and quiet, i just cannot believe her other characters, she’s a great actress. actors and actresses are supposed to convince the audience through their characters, she sure convinced me
i hope to see more upcoming work from her!
this is the first time i post in a blog
