I checked my rss checked others rss as well and realized that mine did not even display images. I then determined that was the issue and looked into it. I do however think you should save the categories section. I'm gonna update my sidebars soon too, I think I'll add top commentators, popular posts and some more. I overlooked something really stupid that caused the pictures to not be thumbed. Just some observations i've found over the last 12 months anyway .... you might have seen otherwise.
