Zettai Kareshi episodes 2+3
I don’t know what I’ve been up to that has kept me from watching this this Jdrama, but I am really taking my time with it. I was going to do a post on Rookies, the new Satou Ryuuta drama, or Nakama Yukie being the ever-so pumped up Yankumi in Gokusen 3, or even Kimutaku’s new drama CHANGE. But I haven’t even started watching them! I am really bad at this being lazy and watching drama all day stuff.
In the last 3 weeks, all I have managed is two episodes of Zettai Kareshi, in all its Mokomichi goodness. So I might as well summarize a bit about the interesting parts of each episode. Just to mention, the ratings for Zettai Kareshi are relatively low compared to CHANGE or Gokusen3. This being for obvious reasons I suppose, but I really thought it would do much better than it is. Oh well!
Just some quick snaps of episodes 2 and 3:
Talk about anti-theft system.

Mokomichi is so damn skinny. I remember him commenting on an episode of Kuwazugirai That he wanted to buff up. Apparently his dad is like 196cm and built like a tank.

Jam heart is too good!

Asamoto Soshi with the stare downs. He desperately wants some more cream puffs!

Beginning stages of attachment. Would you buy Mokomichi for 一億円(いちおくえん: Ichiokuen). $1,000,000USD!

Free promo boxers! Sasaki Kuranosuke’s role in this drama still doesn’t fail to amuse me.

“Why will no one eat my cream puffs!” *sad face
I’m translating シュークリーム : Shuu Kuriimu to “cream puffs” because I don’t think “shoe cream” is correct, and it also doesn’t sound very delicious at all.

The janitor loves you!

Nakamura Shunsuke playing the “serious older brother” role. I’ve heard he generally plays roles like this. Although this is the first drama I’ve seen him in. I’ve only been watching Jdrama for about 2 years now.

The beginnings of some obvious love triangle action! Typical drama set up.

That’s all for now! Hope those of you who are watching this are enjoying it as well. For those that aren’t, you are missing out on some seriously funny stuff! But then again, I know there are those out there that disagree with Jdrama. As I’ve said before, I find it a useful learning tool as actions and settings are overemphasized to make it easier to understand when it is appropriate to say certain phrases, words, etc.
I’m actually out of here for approx. 2 weeks. I’ll have some posts in the vault which will self-release, but I doubt I will have access to the internet to allow me to comment back. So please excuse me for not responding. ![]()

^____^ I love Zettai Kareshi! I’m anxiously waiting for episode 10, haha. It’s just too cute and funny. Also, I love this show for the fact that it has inspired me to bake for the first time. I make some pretty good-looking cream puffs, if I do say so myself. =P They are yummy, although very fattening.
LOL… “shoe cream”

I finished this whole series in a day! I kinda regret that now though cause i went through it so fast that it feels like it ended too soon
I couldnt help it though it was so addicting!

Susie: Thanks for the comments. You actually managed to make some puffs? Damn, now I wanna get on that! They are really delicious and I haven’t really been able to find anywhere in Canada that makes them as good as ones I’ve had in Japan.
Yuri: I understand how you feel. Whenever I go though a drama in a day or so, I always feel like it ended too fast and I don’t get the full picture. Leaves me unsatisfied!!

There is actually a really great cream puff place run by Japanese people in Richmond, BC. It was so popular that it was even praised in the newspapers. I’m not sure where you are situated but if you ever come to British Columbia look for “Papa Beard Cream Puffs”. Comes in lots of flavours too, but usually has a huge lineup ><.

gonna check this one out. Not a great fan of Jdramas (despite having been in one!), but occasionally there’s one that’s worth watching. All time favourite- Ikebukuro West Gate Park. Nothing’s come close to that IMO

Yingu, thanks for the info! although I don’t know when for sure I’ll be in BC!
Kenji, thanks for stopping by. I actually have that drama on me somewhere, but haven’t gotten around to watching it. Checked your site out as well. Seems you’ve been around a fair bit =) Good stuff! Hope you keep reading in the future (once I get back to updating!! haha)
